OnTime Help Desk Tracking extended to SharePoint Portals


Sarasota-based software application firm, MethodFactory, today introduced the OnTime Portal for SharePoint.  OnTime is a popular help desk incident tracking system that it used by IT departments to manage requests.  The OnTime Portal for SharePoint extends the ticket management system to Microsoft SharePoint portals.  This enables Help Desk managers to provide real-time project and incident status visibility to their customers. 


The OnTime Portal for SharePoint provides the following benefits to Help Desk managers:

  • Ability to use either Active Directory or OnTime’s user profile to manage authentication to SharePoint portals;
  • Ability to browse, filter or keyword search for tickets, via a SharePoint webpart;
  • Ability to view ticket detail and enforce OnTime workflows, via a SharePoint webpart;
  • Ability to provide the OnTime ticket management system, branded for SharePoint.

The OnTime Portal for SharePoint solution will be marketed to IT departments that have implemented SharePoint across the enterprise and use OnTime for incident management.  The OnTime Portal for SharePoint is MethodFactory’s third packaged SharePoint offering and is SharePoint 2010 ready.
