The city of Charlotte is the largest city in North Carolina and the 20th largest
in the United States. The Charlotte metropolitan area (MSA) had a 2006 estimated
population of 1,594,799. The city is at the center of one of the fastest growing
metropolitan regions in the United States, with an average influx of around 20,000
newcomers into the region each year over the past decade.
Business Challenge
The City of Charlotte needed to maintain visual continuity between
department websites and the ability to enforce department head level content approval
before web content was published to the Internet.
Solution
MethodFactory led the Government staff through its discovery and
planning stages and developed a detailed IT design document for the CMS implementation.
MethodFactory then implemented Microsoft Content Management Server, developed all
necessary website templates and automated the transfer of over 25,000 html files
