Testing
Testing occurs throughout the project. Discrete functional components are unit tested
at the completion of their development. The completed application is put through
a formal user testing and load testing procedure (per the test plan). Defect identification
and resolution is documented through the project portal.
Deployment
Application deployment transitions from the development environment to a staging
environment, and finally to the production environment. All project releases are
identified with a release number. All application modifications are documented throughout
the deployment process. Each
project includes an application release process document and a roll-back process
document. All project release information and communication occurs via the project
portal.
Documentation and Training
Application documentation typically starts with the planning documentation. Additional
technical and procedural documentation can be developed as a method for providing
knowledge transfer to the organization's internal IT department. Associated technical
training is available. End user manual development and end user training is
also available.
