Project Manager
MethodFactory seeks a seasoned Software Development Project Manager. The successful candidate will:
- Work with multiple teams including subcontractors of between 3 and 15 people
- Develop project plans. Define and track tasks, dependencies, priorities, milestones, deliverables, and risks
- Provide regular project updates and presentations to the development and executive teams
- Work directly with the sales teams to determine new project requirements and estimate
- Drive development teams towards on-time delivery of project milestones and deadlines
- Serve as liaison between development teams and clients
Candidate requirements:
- A minimum of two years experience as a senior software development project manager
3 - 5 years managing diverse project teams of at least 15 people in a fast paced
environment - Strong project planning and project management skills in a complex and rapidly
changing technical environment - An understanding of structured software development processes and lifecycle
- Strong communication and negotiation skills; both verbal and written
- In-depth experience using MS Project to plan and manage projects (expert)
- Able to present and sell solutions and decisions both within the project team and to key stakeholders
- Excellent analytical skills and an ability to handle extensive documentation on a timely basis
- Ability to engage quickly with multiple project already in progress
- Ability and desire to mentor and grow other project managers
- Desire to wear many hats, roll up your sleeves and directly impact the bottom line
Preferred:
- PMP certification
- Experience using the Microsoft Solutions Framework (MSF)
- A background in software development for .NET environments
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
