According to eWeek's Jim Rapoza, "Office SharePoint Server 2007 will be a welcome
upgrade from previous versions of the platform, including a cornucopia of new template
options for quickly building a wide variety of Web sites, portals and community
pages as well as much-improved workflow and routing features."
SharePoint Server 2007 is Microsoft’s Intranet & Portal offering. The server offering, released in January, includes content management, search, business forms
management, business intelligence and collaboration tools within the Portal solution.
Government examples of SharePoint include the City of Houston, the City of Wichita,
the FAA and the US Army.
