MethodFactory creates new website for Intertape Polymer Group (IPG)
Microsoft SharePoint Server (MOSS) provides a customized solution for IPG's web content management needs
Intertape Polymer Group (IPG), a local manufacturer of specialized adhesive products and packaging systems partnered with MethodFactory, a Sarasota-based technology application development firm, to develop a new B to B website, which recently launched. The new site, www.itape.com, incorporates many upgrades including the latest Microsoft content management technology, new fuctionality and a refreshed look.
One of the main objectives of the new site was to move IPG from Microsoft Content Management Server (MCMS) 2002 - a product that was recently retired and will soon no longer be supported – to the new Microsoft SharePoint Server (MOSS). The implementation of MOSS by MethodFactory gives IPG staff the ability to manage the site, using a product platform that they can build on. IPG selected MethodFactory for their extensive experience in making these types of important technical transitions effficiently and effectively for its clients.
IPG also wanted a new look for the website and improved usability for its users. So MethodFactory graphically redesigned the site to better represent IPG with a more modern and user-friendly presentation and added new, high touch features and fuctionality, such as dynamic search, new product page categorizations and online ordering.
